Artist and Gardener: Fedor van der Valk, Brings You String Gardens

Dutch artist Fedor van der Valk, creates an unusual gallery of living art, by mixing plants, with three-dimensional planet like crocheted pots; which are filled with plaster, soil, grass, and moss, creating a stunning effect not likely to be quickly forgotten.

Hung by itself, a simple flower can create an amazing statement; while a garden filled with magically floating plants that are never before seen in the air, creates an otherworldly quality that would not be seen if these plants were simply set into the ground.

The String Garden project was started three years ago by artist Fedor van der Valk; inspired by  Japanese hanging gardens. The plants are available to buy now from Pompon in Amsterdam.
