Outdoor Fireplace Pictures Courtesy of http://www.hza.no/
I just found these images of an outdoor fireplace designed by Haugen / Zohar, an architectural firm from Trondheim, Norway. I have to say I wish I had enough space to build this. It’s just such a magical place! Meant for nightly campfires, and story telling; it looks like something out of a children’s fairy tale. It’s constructed of short wooden pieces of reused wood from a construction site; set onto a concrete foundation. Inspired by Norwegian turf huts it bears a striking similarity to the Native American Tee Pee. It’s design is simple and elegant; working to funnel the air up and, all on its own. Amazing!
