This weeks Treasury Roundup is dedicated to all of those who grow our food, the ranchers and farmers, cheese-makers, and bakers, and all amazing yummy sweet food that start’s to come out of the garden at the beginning of spring. I can’t wait to get back in the garden. We’ve been digging bed’s and laying in compost, all to get ready for that action packed time of year that is spring. Where plants seem to grow over night and flowers bloom before your very eyes. These incredible treasuries embody everything that spring is simple and clean, bright, fresh, and exploding with possibilities. Come and check them out with me.

How To: Basket Weaving

This summer we’ve been harvesting so many fruits and vegetables from our little organic garden, that I found my self out of picking baskets, with nothing left to harvest the veggies with, and absolutely nowhere to store them I realized I had to get working on some home-made baskets.  I started weaving simple picking baskets, with bright-colored, heavy weight papers, that I found on sale in the big box craft store. These baskets can be made as big or as small as you like, and can even be made to resist water with a few simple coats of Modge Podge. What you will need:
Heavy weight craft paper or cardstock.
Scissors
Whole punch
Elmers glue
Metal ruler

I Love My New Studio

Strawberry, Coral Bell, Morning Glory, and Mint Leaves with four coats of silver clay applied.

Well I haven’t been posting new jewelry lately, and its all because I’ve been working on my new studio. I work in the garage, but I really don’t want it to feel like one. So I put in shelving above my new work table, and even more exciting lighting under the bottom shelf which makes for great task lighting. On the other side of the room I’ve just started to put together my office.  Eventually it will have a comfy couch, filing, my desk, and I can’t wait my computer in my actual studio. Right now the single wall outlet next to my work table is the only one in the room. I also have some pictures of the leaves that I started last week. There being strung and turned into necklaces and earrings right now.
