I like to make my own holiday ornaments every year. It adds a special touch to the holiday season, and each year as you add them to the tree, those handmade ornaments just have so much more meaning then the store-bought ones. This year our ornaments theme was Swiss Gingerbread Bird Houses. As always I tried to be as eco-friendly as possible, using felt made from recycled plastic bottles!

I love making toys for my three kitties Lutefisk, Bellatrix, and Houdini. And these Valentines Day mice were the biggest hits yet. They are extremely simple to make and look adorable. It only took me about an hour to make these three.

There are times when your happy to have your work stand alone, and then there are time when someone takes your work, and makes with it something so much better then you could have ever dreamed. In the last few weeks it seems as though the amount of treasury’s being made on Etsy has more then quadrupled, but the quality is far and away better then I could have imagined. This morning we had our first frost! It was icy and cool and the grass all looked like it was painted with sugar. I love icy mornings with a warm mug of tea and a good book.
